Dr. Donald Fortson III
Dr. Donald Fortson earned his DMin and MDiv degrees from Columbia Theological Seminary and his PhD from Westminster Theological Seminary. Dr. Fortson was a pastor for nine years, before his teaching career, and he continues his pastoral ministry through teaching, preaching in local churches and leadership in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Dr. Fortson was Assistant Professor of Ministry and the Director of Ministry Program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and, in 1997, joined the faculty of Reformed Theological Seminary as Associate Professor of Church History at the Charlotte campus. In addition to his work at RTS, he is a visiting professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and lectures in other venues throughout the region on church history.
